In celebration of Gynecologic Cancer Awareness month, Color of Teal welcomes you to its 3rd Annual Teal Affair/Gynecologic Cancer Expo on September 27, 2014, at Hunter College, 695 Park Avenue, New York, New York.
Attending guests will enjoy an assortment of beverages, desserts, food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This year’s recognition award will be presented to ovarian cancer survivor, Tierre Tates (founder of Teal is a Big Deal), ovarian cancer survivor, Brandi Maxiell (VH-1’s reality star on Basketball Wives), ovarian cancer survivor, Anje Collins (co-founder of Women in PR), and HPV survivor, Michele Appel Prigo (NYC Chapter Leader, National Cervical Cancer Coalition) for their contribution in spreading awareness for gynecologic cancers. Key note addresses will be presented by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Carol Brown, and Advantage Care Physicians, Dr. Kameelah Phillips.
The “3rd Annual Teal Affair will be emceed by breast cancer survivor, and actress Nadine McGrath, and “Teal Carpet” interviews will be conducted by True Model Management fashion model, radio host, blogger and cervical cancer survivor, Aliyah Cherrisse. Additional guest speakers will include financial guru, Ash Cash, and life coach, Dhylles Davis. The evening’s event will include fashion pieces from featured designers Robert E. Knight, Pink Ladybug Collection, Big Girls United (B.G.U.), Lillie Designs, Serita Bell, and cervical cancer survivor Pink Sorbie. Guests will be treated to live performances by singer and songwriter, Anhayla, Baiyu, and Qew Lunel and the Mosaic Movement, and DJ Queen of Spades.
